- Aja wrote a list of winter anime recommendations for the Daily Dot last week. My all-time favorite is on there. Is yours?
- Remember when I interviewed video game journalist Nathan Meunier? His latest book, Interview Fu, is on sale this week.
- Speaking of cool people doing cool things, not sure I’ve introduced you to Ben Huber, a Japanator contributor and graphic designer known for his bold, minimalist and geeky style. I just commissioned a logo from Ben for a super secret project, and I thought I’d give him some link love.
- Maybe you already follow me (@laureninspace) on Twitter, but do you follow my twisted, garbled alter ego @LaurenInEbooks? Fellow journo and blog reader Patrick Hogan made it for me to exercise his Python skills. Want to make your own? Try this open source script on GitHub.
- Been listening to a lot of anime music mashups lately, and my friend Grant turned me on to the mashup genius known on YouTube as nakinyko. I can’t really pick a favorite, but start with Casbah Circulation and Black and Yellow Sketch.
That’s all for now. Still buried deep in my book edits so I didn’t explore the Internet as much this week. If you saw something cool online this week, share it in the comments!

Steins;Gate on Aja’s list is a recently found love of mine. Love the story, the characters are great. Some episodes made me cry. One particular episode was very, very dear to me (but I’ll keep that to myself.)
Have to admit there were several other great anime series on Aja’s list. But Steins;Gate is my pick since I can only have one.
It’s good to hear that you got to hear nakinyko. Based nakinyko delivers when it comes to mashups.
