- I was feeling guilty spending my time writing fanfiction instead of some kind of “higher” creative calling, and Aja reminded me of her fabulous essay on the topic: I’m done explaining why fanfic is OK.

Agree, that “Advice from Japanese women on dealing with your boyfriend’s anime girlfriend” is a terrible article.
#1 & #4: Dump “her”. If you are with someone that hates your hobbies and needs to change you GTFO. It will only get worse. Male or female.
#2: Cosplay is fun for everyone. This is good.
#3: I really don’t think women need permission to like a character, sheesh.
